Meet Our Provider
April Dawson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in primary care and family medicine. She provides comprehensive care for acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, COPD, and preventive health.
April earned her nursing degree from Shenandoah University in 1997 and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021. Her clinical background includes experience across multiple acute care specialties as well as urgent care, supporting accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
Having lived in the Cumberland area for more than 27 years, April is deeply connected to the community she serves. Her approach to care focuses on listening, patient education, and empowering patients to take an active role in their long-term health.
